Even Small Fires Can Be Devastating

SERVPRO of East Dallas recently completed a fire job at a school.  The fire occurred due to a small electrical malfunction which caused extensive smoke damage throughout the school. Luckily, the fire started after hours when nobody was in the building. Working on this job was a good reminder that fire safety education for students of all ages is imperative in case of an emergency.

While it can be difficult to educate young children on fire safety practices, small children make up more than half of child deaths due to fires.  The US Fire Administration takes educating children on fire safety practices very seriously.  They have refined the Sesame Street Fire Safety Program and encourage educators and parents to sign up for the program.  Click the link below for more information and/or sign up for the program.
