Flood After Storm Ruins Kitchen Counters

Hurricane season hit the gulf of Mexico in late summer and as usual, Houston saw quite a bit of flooding and wind damage.  SERVPRO of East Dallas was eager to respond when the need arose.  This is a picture of one of the many homes that will be undergoing restoration and reconstruction.  When we arrived, water had been sitting in this kitchen and risen up to the cabinets.  We were able to extract the water and save the floors but the cabinets were a total loss.  Our team removed all of the wet material and made sure surfaces were clean and dry prior to renovation, as seen in the second picture.
